I don't know about you, but apparently every acquaintance I make these days wants to have my phone number. After exchanging pleasantries the next I know, they are asking me to recite my phone number.
Take for example this guy I met on one of my fun trips. I was in this strange town forthe first time, so naturally i had to make friends to show me around(not really show me but lets say tell me about the town). You guessed right, after introductions he asked for my phone numberand the polite visitor that I am, I complied. And I was thinking, just when will he ever use that number? I was dead wrong. The guy called me two days later and then a week and sincethen its has been every Sunday. When he calls, do we have anything to talk about? Yes, for the first time but on the second call, absolutely nothing.
Now I really feel violated when someone calls, wastes my time and they got nothing to say!
Like this morning, a lady that i met at a funeral service two weeks ago and we exchanged numbers, called. I am talking about someone calling at 10:00AM , interrupting your morning (I am a morning person) and they just want to say we met at church. ok, its only been two weeks so I remember. That is all she wanted to say folks.
I have just learnt one new thing, I am not giving out my phone number to the next random person I meet. All i will give is my name. Yes, that sounds mean.....By the way, Can I have your number?
